That would not work for Portland...that's a horrible trade that's a type of trade that will get a GM fired. They have a nice team now that just needs to grow and they get Oden back next year. Only team that would benefit would be Indiana.

What does this deal have to do with utah? i saw the blazers and pacers...but it benefits the blazersw more and salary wise it works but it wont happen because the pacers wouldn't want any of those players and only 1 is an expiring contract, perhaps more expiring contracts so the pacers would clear salary cap space but this trade doesn't improve them, doesn't clear up salary cap space and just gives them bad players so it won't happen.

Do you have this right? The Clippers look like their getting a free bee. They give away their aging point guard and crappy shooting guard for a two dominant shooting guards and 2 first round picks?

Other than that I think the Grizzlies will benefit from this trade because they get a temporary cure for their terrible team this year with Sam Cassell and Corey Maggete, and a long term cure with Luol Deng. Giving Pau Gasol away is a mistake if they were looking for a championship this year, but they aren't so its ok.

The Bulls are getting a good PF to lead the path in the paint, and earn them a championship or two. The 1st round pick is just the icing on the cake.

I think this is definately a good trade for the lakers. Gasol is a versatile player that can play either the power forward or the center position. He will certainly benefit the lakers offence. This will also place less burden on Kobe Bryant's scoring. It's great for the triangle offence. I have felt bad for the lakers in the previous playoff seasons. They would always lose to the Suns. I remember one year a last second 3 spoiled the lakers chance of advancing. That was their year to advance. Anyways, presently I feel that Gasol will help the lakers score and win key games while byum and walton are injured. However, when byum and Walton return to the mix, this is a dangerous laker team which has plenty of scoring options. If Byum comes soon enough, they may catch the Suns in the division rankings and hopefully gain some redemption in the playoffs by defeating the suns. The Spurs, Mavs, and Suns are not real west contenders this year. It seems that these teams are packed with veterans but have run out of steam at times. The lakers have the best combination of young and veteran players. Bryant and Fisher have championship experience and will allow ways for the young and new laker acquisitions to blend into the mix. Therefore, the lakers will have their best playoff season since their 2004 playoff run.

All three trades greatly enhance the teams.

The Lakers had to give up almost nothing for Gasol and he fits right into their system. That was definitely a great move for the Lakers.

Shaq is better than people are giving him credit for. One of the best things about him coming to Phoenix is Amare moving to Power Forward. This will let Amare tare apart other teams and creat a 1-2 punch with Shaq and Amare. It makes the Suns able to compete against other teams like the Spurs. He will help the Suns weakest areas of interior defense and rebounding.

Jason Kidd will help the Mavs and bring some intensity and toughness to them. His skill set make the Mavs just as dangerous as anyone else in the West. Although this deal isn't official yet, it is again likely to happen after it was almost dead.

Overall everyone improves greatly, but we won't know who got the best deal until June.

Suns would have 2 great low-post guys and 3 great shooters around them, which could mean that there will be less double teams on Shaq and Amere.

Sorry dude, it would never happen. Eric Dampier actually hurts the deal (nobody wants that guy especially with his salary). Josh Howard and Jason Terry are really nice pieces, and Devin Harris is alright, but Boozer is a real emerging star, and is Utah's number 1 guy...

I guess the way I would break it down is (and this is taking salary out of it). From Utah's point of view. I wouldn't trade Boozer for Howard and Harris, I wouldn't trade Williams for Terry and I certainly wouldn't trade Brewer for Dampier. I don't think I would take Dampier (with his contract) for 2 hot dogs and a cold beer. It would also from a salary perspective be Utah paying for the privelage of being robbed.

No need to trade players. Mavs were the best team in the regular season. They will again be the best team next year. They may even break their own WIN record with the same lineup of players.

They failed in the playoffs because they didn't pound the Warriors like what the Jazz did inside the shaded lane. Instead of capitalizing on their inside game, the Mavs opted to go small and run with the warriors.... Not Nowitzki's fault. It's Avery's fault.

That trade will never happen but you are headed in the right direction. You need both a pg and a low post scoring threat. Some cheap viable options would be to get brevin knight to play the pg and slide terry over to sg and alonzo mourning to be a back up big man to add toughness to this soft team.

wow, this is pretty bad. first of all memphis would have to cut 1/3 of its roster to get these 6 players. and besides theyre not trading gasol and miller for complete garbage which is what you gave. nocioni is the best player in the deal and he aint even worth miller.

denver and chicago get steals, they barely give up anything they get 2 good players.
I doubt this trade would work. There is too many players going to the grizzles, theres not enough roster space. Second I doubt the grizzles would even consider giving up gasol and miller without having at least hinrich or gordon coming in.
I think the Grizzlies already have a lot of players on their bench, and getting like 8 for 2 doesn't help that problem any. Furthermore, you're not getting anybody really worthwhile. While you end up solving Chicago's inside problem and Denver's perimeter threat issue, you've just swamped Memphis with a bunch of reserves. It's too lopsided to happen, Memphis isn't giving up it's top two players for a bunch of scrubs.

Colangelo is smart enough to know that you don't trade a low post stud like Bosh for an unproven post player and 3 other guys who are better on the perimeter offensively.

Phoenix is not going to trade Marion within the division and essentially get only Al Harrington back in the deal. The rest of those guys are just filler. They'd be giving up guys who fit their offensive system for 3 guys who really don't.
as a fellow Ws fan, this would be a dream come true however it wont. i can somewhat see the raptors doing this because even though they lose bosh, they get an allstar back in marion and a guy who has the potential to be the next bosh in brandan wright. the reason why i think the raps would decline is because they lose jose calderon who is an exceptional backup PG. he is really good.

This is a tough one. Im not sure the Warriors would be willing to make this trade in the first place...let alone the other 2 teams accepting. Im dont think they would give up Harrington and the main part of the deal they got for J. Rich. Don't get me wrong Bosh is a great player and would fit in becuse these 2 teams both run a fast offense. The Warriors just signed T. Hudson to back up Davis so that would negate the need for Calderon. They also have Ellis who can play some PG. Phoenix gives up The Matrix, who wanted out earlier, along with 2 promising rookie guards. They really only get Harrington in return; the other players are mere roll players. From the looks of it the Raptors come out on top. They only lose 3 player, one being truely worth something (Bosh) and they gain Marion, along with 3 promising rookies. In close i can see Toronto taking a hard look at this, but if i were a GM for the Warriors or Suns I would probably have to decline or get more out of it.

pacers get a pg who can lead the team but they get 2 contracts of old players in a rebuilding team. so they lose a little of their salary cap flexibility.

Ben and Mike Miller Trade. If he won't do it and you are desperate to trade him then offer a another player that isn't good, that will get the person thinking about the trade.
I would still do the trade where you get Corey Maggette. Even though Maggette is a huge injury risk, Wallace probably hurts your teams more than he helps. Sure he can get rebounds, steals, and blocks, but he's averaging only 4 points a game. He's shooting under 33%, and for a big man, that's horrendous. Plus, he's only shooting 50% from the line. Definetely take the trade for Maggette.
both players have negatives. big ben is doing kinda bad and maggette is an injury waiting to happen. if you need scoring and ft% go w/ maggette.

I'll give you an example of this in action. when the Pacers traded Peja Stojakovic to the Hornets for Andrew Betts they got a trade exception because the Hornets were under the cap and could trade Betts who made nothing for Peja who is making around 9 million a year. The Pacers than used that trade exception to do the trade with the Golden State Warriors, because the players the Warriors traded made more than the players the Pacers players who were traded made, and the with the Warriors over the cap the trade exception vanished.

No, it will never happen. First, and foremost, the Wolves are not going to move Garnett unless they get quality young talent and draft picks in return for him. The Nets would likely have to include one or two of the following: Marcus Williams, Josh Boone, Sean Williams, and Antoine Wright in addition to a first round pick in the deal for them to have any interest.

Secondly, they already have Ricky Davis and just drafted Corey Brewer so I doubt they would have any real interest in taking on Richard Jefferson.

This trade is OK but no way would San Antonio trade away players like Duncan and Parker who are core players in their tight group of players. Josh Howard would not fit in well with Phoenix's run and gun offense, although Parker might.

Tmac is verry overated and theres only one positive thing about that, he can be trade for someone better.

Rafer Alston is kind of overated. He is looked at as A reliable PG but he is shooting 37 percent!!!!

Houston's Benefit: A better team!! The best 3 way combination you can possibly have is a PG (one end), A SF (the middle man) and a Center(the other end).

New Jersey:

J-Kidd has been in many trade rumers lately

New Jersey's Benefit: A younger team. J-Kidd is now 34 years old. Now look at the new team.

C - Mikki Moore - An expereanced and liable Center with young evolving Josh Boone comming of the bench.

PF - Nenad Krstic - If he can come back from injury we now what he can do. He can also play Center (age 23)

SF - Tracy McGrady - Overated but still a great player

SG - Vince Carter - another great player and has been getting many tripple doubles lately. Also friends with Tmac

PG - Rafer Alston - Bad shot selection but something that can be coached. Pretty good at seeing the floor.

And ofcourse a 1st round pick

No it is not realistic. I think New Jersey likes the idea of being past the 1st rd, getting Mcgrady would prevent that.

Nets wouldn't take that because Stack and Dampier earns 7 and 10m respectively and has 3 and 4 years remaining in their contract respectively. The Nets want young players, expiring contracts, and draft picks. I really think there's a need for a 3rd team to help send Jason Kidd to Dallas. Before, Portland got involved but they changed their minds.

The NETS are not likely to do that, Dampier is average, and he and stack have too many years on their contract to look attractive.

Of course they would love to have devin harris, but this trade is not likely to come to fruition

this is actually one of the only ones that seems like it could happen in terms of fairness and team needs.

but i think that indianas getting the edge by a little bit, depending on how hughes performs.

With Jermaine O'neal on the Cavaliers he'd probably play at power forward and I like him better at center. Ilgauskas still has a couple good years left to play center.

Larry Hughes is injury prone and hasn't been the same since he came from Washington. The Pacers get Drew Gooden who is an above average power forward but thats not enough for O'neal.

So the Pacers trade Tinsely and J.O. to somebody in their own divison for a similar guy to foster, a injured guy, and Jones.

I would rather see him get traded to the Lakers for Bryum and trash then see him go to ceveland.

But on the other hand.....Lebron and J.O. with Tinsely playing(when he wants too). That is all Lebron needs to get back to the finals.

Celtics will probably be good but they have no bench as of right now and the Bulls will have problems with J.O. and Lebron.

I like it...except for the Bulls loose alot in defense help, b/c t-mac has none. I would wonder if the Rockets tough would give up both t-mac and scola to receive an expiring contract in Gordon?

philly gets ripped off here. andre miller is a very good PG, and i doubt philly wants to lose thad young, he is still young and has lots of potential. too early to give up on him now. plus all they get is a old pg and a decent pf. not worth the loss.

its good for cleveland in the sense that they lose larry hughes and pick up andre miller, who they sorely need.

i doubt washington wants hughes back after he left them.

Yes, the trade would benefit every team but the team who got the most benefit is the Wizard. The Wizards would be trading injured players at the moment and that would mean the other team cant use them ....The Cavaliers also would be overloaded at the Center position if Thomas plays , and this would mean that Varejao will be playing at PF....
